TMJ Treatment

Disorders of the jaw joint, or temporomandibular joint ( TMJ), can cause jaw, facial, and neck pain that often results in chronic headaches and soreness. At our Miami practice, proper TMJ function in relation to surrounding structures is one of our main concerns; it is vital to your dental health and comfort. Our Miami practice is equipped to diagnose TMJ disorders and offers many options for relief.

There are numerous causes and types of TM disorders (TMD). For proper treatment, a full evaluation by Dr. Furshman must be completed. He conducts a full assessment of your jaw and bite function at his Miami office to determine the TMJ treatment that is best suited for you.

If you suffer from jaw and facial pain, Dr. Furshman can help you restore proper jaw function with a number of his different TMJ treatment methods. Contact us today to schedule an examination!

Sedation Dentistry

Our Miami practice is proud to offer sedation dentistry, or “ sleep dentistry,” to our patients. Patients who experience excessive fear and anxiety when faced with dental work can now relax and be comfortable during procedures, thanks to sedation dentistry. As a highly trained Miami sedation dentist, Dr. Furshman is able to administer medication that will relax you before treatment begins. Your vital signs will be constantly monitored throughout the procedure for your safety. During your dental treatment, you will be responsive yet unaware of what is going on around you, allowing you to undergo the dental procedures that you want and need without trepidation.

At our Miami practice, sleep dentistry allows Dr. Furshman to complete complex procedures that might otherwise require multiple visits in just one sitting. You can be fitted for multiple crowns or undergo root canal therapy easier than ever before. At our dental practice in Miami, sedation dentistry eliminates the fatigue and discomfort that patients might normally feel during a long treatment. Those with busy schedules in the Miami area may find sleep dentistry ideal for saving time, whether for a cosmetic, restorative, or general dentistry procedure.

Miami sedation dentist Randy Furshman and his staff work hard to provide you with the safest, most comfortable treatment during sedation. Your procedure is guaranteed to be relaxing and stress free, eliminating the sounds, smells, and discomfort you may associate with dental work.

Contact us today to find out how Miami sedation dentist Randy Furshman can make your cosmetic or restorative dental therapy more manageable through sedation dentistry!

Dental Implants

The benefits of dental implants at our Miami practice are not just cosmetic. Indeed, dental implants can help maintain proper bite, gum health, and jaw bone mass, restoring functionality and health to your smile.

When a tooth is missing from the arch of the bone, the bone mass will begin to atrophy due to lack of use. This process can be prevented with the placement of dental implants at our Miami office. Implant dentistry is composed of two steps: implant surgery and crown placement. During the surgical portion of the procedure, a titanium root or base is placed in the jawbone, below the space where the tooth is missing. After three to six months, the new tooth crown is paced on the implant. Your new tooth is as strong and stable as a healthy natural tooth. The dental implant will stimulate bone cells during normal functions such as chewing, thereby preventing further degeneration of the jawbone. It is important to place the implant as soon as possible after tooth loss to prevent any significant atrophy from occurring.

At our Miami practice, implant dentistry is able to restore facial shape, proper speech, normal chewing, and confidence to each of our patients. Dental implants from our Miami office yield incredible restorative and cosmetic results that far surpass those achieved with removable bridges, partials, and dentures.
